CAIRO, April 24 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi expressed Egypt's solidarity with the families of the victims of a terrorist attack that targeted Indian tourists in Kashmir, while condemning all forms of terrorist acts.
Sisi's remarks came during a phone call on Thursday with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El Shennawi.
During the phone conversation, President Sisi highlighted Egypt's efforts to counter terrorism and the extremist thought based on a comprehensive approach.
On his part, the Indian prime minister thanked President Sisi for his kind gesture, emphasizing the depth of relations between the two countries and their peoples.
The spokesman noted that President Sisi and Modi underlined the importance of working together to turn the strategic partnership between the two countries into tangible projects and programs in various fields.
The pair also called for intensifying high-level contacts to explore new horizons of cooperation that will materialize the aspirations of both peoples for progress and prosperity, the spokesman added. (MENA)
