CAIRO, April 24 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said on Thursday Egypt will take part in the summit hosted by Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni
in Entebbe city on Friday with a high-level delegation.
At a joint press conference with Italian Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, the top diplomat said the summit aims at pinpointing the contributions of African countries to the African force to be deployed in Somalia.
Abdelatty said his talks with the Italian official focused on the Horn of Africa region and the importance of preserving Somalia's unity and enabling the Somali government to fight terrorism.
He reiterated Egypt's keenness to take part in the African Union mission to help achieve security in Somalia and boost the Somali government. (MENA)
