CAIRO, April 24 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted the depth of cooperation between Egypt and Italy.
Abdelatty's remarks came at a joint press conference with Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Thursday in presence of Minister of Electricity and Energy Mahmoud Esmat.
Abdelatty welcomed his Italian counterpart during his current visit to Egypt, which reflects deep relations between the two countries and keenness on boosting them in the trade, economic and political domains.
The top diplomat said Tajani was received by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi earlier in the day for talks on bilateral relations.
The Italian side listened to the vision of President Sisi regarding issues of mutual concern and ways of maintaining stability and security in the African continent and the Middle East region.
Abdelatty said he held a bilateral meeting with his Italian counterpart that was followed by expanded talks attended by members of the two delegations and Electricity Minister Mahmoud Esmat.
The electricity minister signed an agreement with the Italian side n the power sector, he added. (MORE)
