CAIRO, April 23 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said he appreciates close, historical relations between Egypt and Kuwait as well as bilateral fraternal ties at various official and popular levels.
Abdelatty made the remarks as he received on Wednesday members of the Egypt-Kuwait Cooperation Council.
The foreign minister pointed out to Egypt’s keenness to build on the momentum generated by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit to Kuwait this April, which yielded significant results that shall contribute to advancing relations between the two sisterly countries, particularly in areas of investment and trade.
He also reviewed the steps taken by the Egyptian state within the framework of the economic reform process and the national projects carried out in recent years in various sectors.
Abdelatty also highlighted the measures being taken to enhance the investment climate and support the private sector’s role.
On that score, the foreign minister emphasized the pivotal role played by businessmen and industrialists in advancing bilateral cooperation through investment in joint projects that benefit both countries.
He pointed out to the Egyptian government's keenness to foster cooperation with Kuwaiti companies and boost their investments in Egypt.
Abdelatty called on Kuwaiti investors to explore the opportunities available in Egypt in various fields, take advantage of the incentives and facilities provided by the Egyptian state in this regard, and develop industrial cooperation by establishing industrial partnerships between Egyptian and Kuwaiti companies.
