CAIRO, April 24 ( MENA) - Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi discussed with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero Ed Miliband aspects of joint cooperation in the energy sector.

They explored ways to enhance regional and international collaboration and integration to achieve the most suitable global energy mix, contributing to energy security across various countries.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the the international Summit on the Future of Energy Security, held in London from April 24–25, according to a press release by the petroleum ministry.

The ministry said that the meeting addressed opportunities for cooperation between Egypt and the United Kingdom in the fields of renewable energy, reducing emissions from fossil fuel sources, and financing joint, implementable projects based on the existing infrastructure of both countries.
