CAIRO, March 1 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said that Egypt is conducting high-level discussions with Arab and international partners to secure full support for the outcomes of the upcoming emergency Arab Summit and the Gaza reconstruction plan.
This came in response to a question by MENA during a joint press conference with Palestinian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Mostafa.
Abdelatty confirmed that Egypt is in the final stages of summit preparations, with a ministerial coordination meeting scheduled for Monday to finalize discussions.
He stressed that the summit will focus on clear and actionable decisions regarding Gaza’s reconstruction, security, and governance, while reaffirming the unified Arab stance rejecting Palestinian displacement and supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
Abdelatty affirmed that post-summit follow-ups will be in place to ensure implementation of resolutions, recognizing the urgency of the situation.
"This summit comes at a critical moment for the Palestinian cause and the broader Arab region," he stated, expressing confidence that Arab leaders will take decisive action to address the existential threats facing Palestine. (MENA)
