Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty revealed that the Egyptian and Palestinian prime ministers held extensive talks to coordinate on a comprehensive, multi-phase plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, including debris removal, early recovery measures, and housing solutions.

Abdelatty also confirmed that the plan includes clearing unexploded ordnance, restoring essential services, and providing temporary housing before transitioning to permanent structures.

Additionally, he stated that Egypt and Palestine are coordinating efforts with many international organizations, including the United Nations, the World Bank, the UNDP, and OCHA, to ensure effective implementation.

Preparations are also underway for Cairo to host a ministerial conference on Gaza’s reconstruction, alongside discussions on establishing a dedicated fund to support rebuilding efforts.

The top diplomat condemned Israel’s continued raids on the West Bank, which have led to the displacement of thousands of Palestinians, calling the attacks unjustified and a serious escalation. (MORE)
