CAIRO, Dec 15 (MENA) - Egypt reiterated on Sunday categorical rejection and condemnation of Israeli government's decision to expand settlements in the occupied Golan Height, considering the move a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and integrity of Syria's territories.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry considered Israeli expansion in the occupied Golan Height a continuation of Israel's status quo policy that reflects its unwillingness to achieve a just peace in the region.
The move comes as part of Israel's continued attempts to seize Arab lands, change demographic status of the lands it occupies in a clear violation of the international law and the international conventions, including Geneva agreements.
Egypt urged the effective international parties and the Security Council to shoulder their responsibilities and reject Israeli violation of the Syrian sovereignty and put an end to the Israeli settlement policy. (MENA)
