CAIRO, Dec 14 (MENA) – Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has underlined the need to unite regional and international efforts to restore stability in all the Syrian territories.
The minister’s remarks came on Saturday during his meetings with the foreign ministers of the United States, Turkey and France, as well as the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and the UN envoy to Syria, on the sidelines of the Arab Ministerial Contact Group meeting on Syria, held in Jordan's coastal city of Aqaba.
Abdelatty also underscored the need to launch a political process that includes all categories of the Syrian people to achieve national reconciliation and have a successful transitional period in the Arab country.
He reviewed Egypt’s stance on developments in Syria, reaffirming Cairo’s support for the Arab country and its unity and territorial integrity.
The minister condemned Israeli attacks that targeted the infrastructure of the Syrian army, voicing Egypt’s rejection of Israel's interference in the Syria Buffer Zone. (MENA)
