CAIRO, Dec 15 (MENA) – Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said Sunday that Egypt’s wise diplomacy has always contributed to promoting the rule of law at the international level.

Abdelatty, during a meeting with the international legal affairs department of his Ministry Sunday, talked about the role of the old Egyptian school and its contributions to the international legal and judicial system.

The legal affairs department is concerned with revising international agreements and fulfilling constitutional measures, not to mention its role in explaining international deals and loans, the top diplomat said.

He added that this department is also important as it gives legal opinions about all regional and international developments.

Egypt’s memos at international judicial authorities are also prepared by the legal affairs department of the Foreign Ministry, Abdelatty said.

He added that commitment to rules of international law boosts the credibility of states at the global level, despite attempts to undermine those rules. (MENA)
