CAIRO, Dec 14 (MENA) – Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, participated in the Arab Ministerial Contact Group meeting on Syria, held in Jordan's coastal city of Aqaba.
The meeting included foreign ministers from Bahrain, the UAE, and Qatar, along with representatives from the United States, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Germany, the European Union, and the UN Special Envoy to Syria.
The Arab delegation called for collective regional and international efforts to restore stability across Syria, safeguard its territorial integrity, and ensure the security and future of its people.
Discussions focused on launching a comprehensive political process involving all components of Syrian society to achieve national reconciliation.
The meeting also condemned Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty, thus leading to more regional instability and complication. (MENA)
