CAIRO, Jan 18 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty has lauded special ties with Nigeria, noting that the Egyptian-Nigerian business forum is significant for promoting bilateral economic cooperation.
The minister’s remarks came Saturday during his participation, along with his Nigerian counterpart Yusuf Tuggar, in the forum, which was held in the premises of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.
The event was also attended by the ministers of investment, irrigation, and agriculture and a host of respective officials.
Abdelatty said the forum is an important platform for Egyptian and Nigerian businessmen to communicate and explore promising economic opportunities, increase trade exchange, support investments, and cement bilateral cooperation in different relevant domains.
The foreign minister also underlined the need to strengthen cooperation on green investments, renewable energy projects, sustainable agriculture, and human development. (MENA)
