CAIRO, March 23 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting with governors to review preparations for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday.

He called for full coordination among government bodies to ensure uninterrupted public services.

Madbouli directed that crisis rooms across all governorates remain active 24/7 to handle emergencies. He also instructed that ambulance services, hospitals, and infrastructure operate at full capacity during the break.

All public parks, tourist areas, and service facilities are expected to be ready to receive citizens. Emergency teams will monitor roads, enforce traffic laws, and prevent illegal construction during the holiday period.

The Premier also called for continuous food supply through markets and local fairs, including the expansion of the “One-Day Market” to more areas, with teams tasked to monitor prices and prevent shortages.

Additionally, he stressed coordination among crisis units in governorates, the Ministry of Local Development, and the Cabinet.

For her part, Minister of Local Development, Manal Awad, outlined each governorate’s readiness, including food and fuel supply, market inspections, ambulance availability, and sanitation.

The meeting also reviewed local-level crisis management training, improvements in digital service centers, and the launch of the "Gadeer” Excellence Award, which recognizes excellence in local administration.

The award will include governors’ offices, city heads, and outstanding staff across various sectors. (MENA)
