CAIRO, March 25 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty emphasized that achieving the security of the Arab region is a key determinant of Egypt's national security.

His remarks came during a meeting he held Tuesday with senior officials and staff of the foreign ministry's Arab Affairs Department, as part of his commitment to regular meetings with different divisions within the ministry.

The minister highlighted the importance of strengthening relations with sisterly Arab countries, emphasizing the government's determination to enhance cooperation and ties with all Arab nations.

He shed light on his discussions and contacts with various Arab foreign ministers to address issues related to regional security and stability.

The minister stressed the crucial role of the foreign ministry and its diplomatic missions abroad in attracting more Arab investments to Egypt, aiming to stimulate the national economy. He underscored the need to encourage the private sector to become a partner with the state in achieving national strategic goals, especially in expanding into Arab markets, taking advantage of Egypt's capabilities and the opportunities available in these markets.

Additionally, he pointed out to the importance of continued coordination with Arab countries to address the crises and challenges facing some sisterly states, to maintain an Arab approach toward resolving these issues, preserving the unity and sovereignty of all Arab nations and safeguarding their interests.

Finally, the minister listened to assessments and suggestions from the department's staff on how to strengthen relations with Arab countries and identify priorities that serve the common interests of the Arab world, while reinforcing Egypt’s role in the region.
