CAIRO, March 25 (MENA) - The State Information Service (SIS) said some news websites and social media platforms, which are known for having been fabricating and spreading falsehoods about Egypt since the great Egyptian people succeeded in overthrowing the rule of the terrorist group, have recently circulated false claims that Egypt is providing military aid to Israel.

Reaching this degree of falsification reflects an escalating state of pathological detachment from reality and a chronic addiction to lying, which has become a fundamental and consistent characteristic of these platforms, the SIS said in a statement.

This detachment and addiction make these outlets unable to see, either temporarily or permanently, Egypt’s clear-cut and unwavering stance towards the Palestinian issue since the beginning of the bloody aggression on Gaza.

Egypt has exerted all efforts and utilized all possible potential to support the Palestinian people openly in light of the catastrophic consequences of the aggression on Gaza, it added.

“This detachment from reality and addiction to lies also made these media outlets unable to see that Egypt has led efforts from the outset of the conflict to adopt a firm Arab and international stance rejecting any attempt to displace Palestinians from Gaza. Such a position has made Egypt the target of multiple campaigns by Israeli officials and media directed either at its unwavering stance or its great army.”

At the end, the SIS stressed that Egypt, which has provided more than 75% of the aid to Gaza, opened its medical facilities to treat the wounded and sick, and engaged in relentless negotiations from the first day of the conflict to secure a ceasefire, “remains fully committed to defending justice and rejecting aggression and occupation.”

“For eight decades, Egypt's people and leadership, paid dearly for this unwavering stance towards the Palestinian issue and for upholding its national, regional, and moral principles,” it said. (MENA)
