CAIRO, Feb 12 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed on Wednesday Egypt’s commitment to protecting and supporting its citizens abroad, considering them an essential part of the nation and main contributors to development.
During a meeting with the Egyptian expatriates in Ethiopia, Abdelatty stated that the Egyptian embassy in Addis Ababa continuously monitors the community’s needs and provides comprehensive consular services.
He assured that the government is working to simplify procedures and enhance consular efficiency.
The top diplomat outlined ongoing initiatives to strengthen ties with expatriates, particularly in investment, education, and cultural identity programs.
He noted efforts to facilitate consular services by digitizing document processing and reducing wait times for passports, official papers, and legal services.
The minister listened to concerns from community members and stressed the government’s commitment to resolving their issues.
He confirmed that Egyptian embassies worldwide are improving service delivery, ensuring faster and more efficient assistance for citizens abroad. (MENA)
