CAIRO, Feb 11 (MENA) - Egypt's Ambassador in Quito Tamer Mamdouh discussed with Ecuadorian Minister of Tourism Mateo Julián Estrella means to boost cooperation in the tourism sector.
The two sides discussed promoting inbound tourism, and opportunities available to increase the number of Ecuadorian tourist arrivals in Egypt, and promoting religious tourism in the country.
They mulled the possibility of reaching a bilateral agreement on tourism cooperation within the framework of sharing relevant expertise in the areas of qualifying and training cadres and constructing tourist accommodation facilities.
For his part, the Ecuadorian tourism minister lauded Egypt's considerable experience in the tourism sector, saying the Ecuadorian tourists enjoyed visiting the must-see tourist destinations in Egypt.
He expressed his readiness to take all necessary measures to facilitate the tourism flow from Ecuador to Egypt.
He underlined the possibility of organizing virtual meetings and business conferences between tour companies and operators in the two countries. (MENA)
