CAIRO, Jan 11 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty asserted the importance of relations between Egypt, Somalia and Eritrea.

Abdelatty made the remarks during a joint press conference on Saturday with Foreign Ministers Osman Saleh of Eritrea and Ahmed Moalim Fiqi of Somalia.

The press conference followed a meeting of the three-way ministerial committee between Egypt, Eritrea and Somalia.

Abdelatty welcomed his Somalian and Eritrean counterparts, expressing happiness for hosting the three-way meeting in accordance with an agreement reached by the leaders of the three countries at the summit held in Asmara.

During the summit, the leaders of the three countries agreed on establishing a three-way mechanism for periodical meetings to discuss means of boosting relations as well as issues of mutual interest.

Abdelatty noted that the coming ministerial meeting will be held in Mogadishu. (MORE)
