CAIRO, Nov 21 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty received a telephone contact from Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov on Thursday.
In the contact, Abdelatty said Egypt is looking forward to boosting economic cooperation and scaling up the volume of trade exchange and investments.
He also added that Egypt seeks to enhance economic partnerships between the private sector in the two countries.
The top diplomat commended continuous progress in joint relations between Egypt and Azerbaijan on all fronts and pointed out to high-level visits by the two sides.
The Egyptian side seeks to capitalize on the strong momentum prompted by the exchange of high-level visits to foster bilateral cooperation, he said.
The two ministers tackled the importance of the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29), hosted by Azerbaijan.
For his part, Bayramov praised the Egyptian support for the Azerbaijani presidency of the event to render the conference a success and come up with tangible outcome.
Abdelatty said it is important to focus on climate finance and take into account concerns of developing countries and efforts to achieve green transition goal.
They also exchanged viewpoints regarding different regional and international issues of mutual concern. (MENA)
