CAIRO, Feb1 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty stressed that peace and stability in the region are impossible without a just resolution to the Palestinian cause, as it remains the core conflict in the Middle East.

Speaking at a seminar titled "Strategic Vision for Egypt’s Foreign Relations" on the fringe of the Cairo International Book Fair on Saturday, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s longstanding support for the Palestinian cause, stating that this commitment predates the 1948 Nakba and is deeply tied to Egypt’s national security interests.

Abdelatty described the October 7 events as a seismic shift, highlighting the tragic toll of nearly 50,000 casualties and over 100,000 others wounded.

He praised the resilience of the Palestinian people, emphasizing their unbreakable bond with their land.

He also reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to de-escalation efforts and continued diplomatic engagement to achieve a just and lasting solution. (MORE)
