CAIRO, Feb 1 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and his Kuwaiti counterpart Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya explored ways to promote bilateral relations during a phone call on Saturday.
Hailing the fraternal ties between both countries, Abdelatty underlined the need to follow up on the outcomes of the 13th session of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti joint higher committee, Cairo hosted in September, in line with the directives of the leaders of both countries to work for fostering cooperation at all levels.
During their phone conversation, the top diplomats also exchanged views on a raft of regional issues, especially the latest updates in the Gaza Strip and the implementation of a long-awaited ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel that took effect on January 19.
They also discussed the progress made in delivering lifesaving humanitarian assistance to those in need in the war-ravaged Palestinian enclave. (MENA)
