Abdelatty described Egypt-US relations as strong, strategic, and deeply rooted over four decades, adding that they are based on mutual interests and respect.

He noted that Egypt, as a regional power, and the US, as a global leader, share common interests not only bilaterally but also on regional and international levels.

The top diplomat highlighted the strategic dialogue held last September, which included high-level discussions between both countries’ foreign ministers, reinforcing their multi-dimensional partnership.

He also referred to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s phone call with his US counterpart Donald Trump, calling it a reflection of the strong and strategic nature of the relationship.

The FM stressed that Egypt-US ties extend beyond politics, encompassing economic, investment, and security cooperation, and are built on institutional collaboration rather than individual leadership.

He reaffirmed President Sisi’s foreign policy approach of “strategic balance”, ensuring Egypt’s diversified international relations.

Additionally, the minister reaffirmed that Egypt maintains strong ties with the US while also fostering strategic partnerships with India, Brazil, Russia, and China, reflecting its balanced and independent foreign policy. (MORE)
