ARAB AND FOREIGN CAPITALS, March 20 (MENA) - Arab and foreign media outlets out Thursday shed light on statements made by military spokesman Gharib Abdel Hafez on the readiness of the army to confront all challenges facing the Egyptian state.

Saudi Arabia's "Asharq Al-Awsat" newspaper, under the headline "Egyptian Military Spokesperson: Armed Forces Ready to Face All Challenges," highlighted Abdel Hafez's assertion that the Armed Forces are prepared to address the ongoing challenges facing the country on all strategic fronts.

Bahrain's "Al-Bilad" newspaper, in a report titled "Egyptian Military Spokesperson Discusses Armament and Confronting Schemes" shed light on the spokesperson's emphasis on the importance of armament deals and the establishment of military bases, as well as the Armed Forces' readiness to confront threats to Egypt's national security.

Russia's Sputnik news agency, under the title "Egyptian Army Speaks of a Battle for Existence," quoted the military spokesman as stressing the Armed Forces' steadfast position in safeguarding national security and their readiness to address all challenges surrounding Egypt.

Russia Today, under the headline "Egyptian Army: Ready for Any Challenge, Committed to Defending Homeland to Death," quoted the spokesperson as stating that the Egyptian combatant’s rock-solid belief has always been to defend the homeland to death.

Titled "The Egyptian Military Spokesman Talks About Armaments and Facing Schemes", the Sky News website highlights statements of Abdel Hafez on the importance of armament deals and the establishment of military bases as well as the readiness of the Egyptian army to face all challenges besetting the Egyptian State. Lebanon 24 website similarly reported the Egyptian army's statements under the same headline.

Egypt's "Extra News" channel quoted the spokesperson as asserting that the real guarantee to overcome all challenges facing the Egyptian state is demonstrating support for the political leadership at the current stage.

The London-based "Middle East Business" website, under the headline "Egyptian Army Ready to Face All Challenges," highlighted the military spokesman's statements on the readiness of the army to face all challenges facing the Egyptian State and the emphasis on national unity as a guarantee to overcome challenges.

The UAE's "Al Ain" news website shed light on the spokesperson's remarks that the current battle is for existence and that the Armed Forces have been keen on developing its capabilities and armament systems over the past decade. It also highlighted his statements on Egypt's clear and unwavering support of the Palestinian issue since 1948.

Palestinian "Ma'an" news agency, under the title "Egyptian Army: Ready to Confront All Challenges," quoted the spokesperson as affirming the army's readiness to stand against challenges facing the Egyptian State and and the significance of supporting the political leadership at the current stage to overcome challenges. It also highlighted Egypt's support of the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Tunisia's "Strategia News" website, under the title "Egyptian Military Spokesperson Confirms Armed Forces' Readiness to Confront Current Challenges," quoted Abdel Hafez as emphasizing the need to establish a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders and the importance of maintaining military vigilance.

The spokesperson also talked about the political leadership's keenness to develop the capabilities of the Armed Forces and armament systems over the past years.

He referred to the scathing criticism over arms deals and the establishment of military bases during previous periods, noting that later it was proved that all actions taken by the armed forces were right in light of the schemes concocted against the country, especially in the post-2011 period.

"Al Jazeera Egypt" account on X platform highlighted the spokesman's remarks on the readiness of the Egyptian army to counter any threats.

Kuwait's "Al-Anba" newspaper, under the headline "Military Spokesperson: Armed Forces Ready to Confront All Challenges to Preserve National Security," highlighted the spokesperson's emphasis on national security as the sole priority and the importance of public awareness in confronting current challenges.

The spokesperson stressed the unchanged political leadership's stance on the Palestinian cause since 1948, emphasizing the need to establish a Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem (Al Quds) as its capital, to ensure regional security and stability.
