GAZA CITY, March 20 (MENA) - Al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced Thursday firing a Maqadmeh M90 rocket salvo from the Gaza Strip towards Tel Aviv in response to Israeli massacres against Palestinian civilians.

Israeli occupation forces violated the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip at dawn Tuesday, resulting in the death of more than 436 Palestinians and the injury of hundreds others following raids and violent shelling on various areas in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation army confirmed - in a statement carried out by The Jerusalem Post - that warning sirens sounded in central Israel after rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip.

Israeli air forces intercepted one of the missiles, while two other missiles fell on open areas... indicating that warnings were sounded in Tel Aviv, Holon, Rishon LeZion, Ramat Gan and other areas around Tel Aviv, the paper said.

Israeli forces announced that they are conducting field combing operations to determine the sites the rockets landed on, calling on Israelis to remain in safe areas and avoid approaching the sites of rock landing or approaching the remnants of rockets that may contain explosive materials.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed members of the Israeli government that a voting session would be held Thursday evening to dismiss Ronen Bar, head of the Internal Security Service (Shin Bet), in an unprecedented step constituting a challenge to the judicial advisor and represents the first time that an Israeli government has decided to dismiss the head of the security apparatus.

The draft decision stated that Bar would officially end his duties on April 20, based on what Netanyahu described as a “persistent personal and professional distrust”, which he considered to be harmful to the government and the security system. (MENA)
