CAIRO, March 10 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed over phone on Monday the latest developments about Egypt's hosting of an international conference for the reconstruction of Gaza.
The conference is to be organized in cooperation with the Palestinian government and the United Nations (UN) with the aim of mobilizing the necessary financing to implement the Arab plan for early recovery and reconstruction in the war-ravaged Gaza.
Both ministers reviewed the outputs of the Extraordinary Arab Summit, which was convened in Cairo on March 4.
They also discussed the situation in Syria. The top Egyptian diplomat asserted Egypt's position in supporting the sovereignty, unity and safety of Syria, in addition to the need of maintaining national institutions in the country and the necessity of its adoption of a comprehensive political process.
