CAIRO, Feb 13 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty praised the distinguished levels of Egyptian-German relations in various fields.
This came during a meeting held by Abdelatty with his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting on Syria held in Paris.
Abdelatty noted that Germany is one of Egypt's largest partners in the economic and development fields, as major German companies are present in Egypt to implement national projects.
He stressed the importance Egypt attaches to strengthening its economic and development relations, and the need to encourage more German investments, especially in the energy, transportation and green transformation sectors.
He expressed his aspiration for Germany's backing for Egypt within the European Union (EU) institutions to obtain the second tranche of the economic support package, within the framework of the strategic and comprehensive partnership between Egypt and the EU, worth 4 billion euros.
The two ministers exchanged views on regional developments, as Abdelatty reviewed Egypt's efforts to consolidate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip with all its provisions and three phases and the access of humanitarian and relief aid to the Gaza Strip. (MENA)
