CAIRO, Feb 11 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty discussed with US Senator Brian Schatz, a ranking member of the US Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, boosting bilateral cooperation in the economic and cultural domains, commending the strong Egyptian-US relations.
During the meeting, Abdelatty said he looks forward to working with the US side to elevate the level of bilateral ties in various domains in a way that serves the two countries' interests.
Abdelatty also reviewed Egypt's genuine efforts to achieve security and stability in the region in light of the major challenges it faces as a result of the multiple conflicts in its regional surroundings.
The two sides discussed the latest developments related to implementing and maintaining the Gaza ceasefire agreement, as well as the delivery of sustained humanitarian aid in Gaza amid the deteriorating conditions in the Strip.
They also reviewed Egypt's constant efforts to restore calm and stability in the region. (MENA)
