CAIRO, Feb 2 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty asserted Egypt’s full support to Sudan to return to the membership of the African Union (AU).
This came during a press conference between Abdelatty and his Sudanese counterpart Ali Youssef Ahmad.
Abdelatty said that the talks come within the framework of continuous contacts between both countries in light of strong relations binding them.
The talks tackled the distinguished Egyptian-Sudanese ties in the different domains in addition to the latest field developments in Sudan, he added.
The political consultation committee between both countries is due in February in Cairo, he said.
The talks tackled the Arab and African developments and the situation in the Gaza Strip in addition to efforts exerted for the sustainability of peace and the situation in Africa and the Horn of Africa. (MORE)
