CAIRO, Jan 18 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty has praised the distinguished relationship between Egypt and Nigeria.

The minister’s remarks came Saturday during a joint press conference held with his Nigerian counterpart Yusuf Tuggar following their political talks.

Abdelatty welcomed the visit of the Nigerian minister and his accompanying high-level delegation, noting that the visit reflects the long-standing brotherly relations between both countries.

He said the political talks focused on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in different domains under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Nigerian counterpart.

The talks reviewed the situation in the Sahel region, Lake Chad Basin, Libya, Sudan, Syria and the Horn of Africa.

The press conference was attended by the ministers of irrigation and agriculture, among others. (MORE)
