MUSCAT, Jan 12 (MENA) - Egyptian Ambassador in Muscat Khaled Radi said on Sunday Egypt attaches special importance to enhancing relations with Oman in the different domains in a way that materializes aspirations of the two countries.

Speaking to MENA on the sidelines of the 5th anniversary of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's accession to the throne, the diplomat said relations between the two countries witnessed a major boom, especially after the visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Muscat in June 2022 and Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's visit to Cairo in May 2023.

He said the two countries share identical views towards regional and international issues as they believe in the importance of resorting to dialogue and diplomacy to settle differences and conflicts.

He termed as successful Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty's latest visit to Oman, saying it focused on enhancing economic cooperation and increasing joint investments.

He said Oman will attend the 56th edition of Cairo International Book Fair as a guest of honor, which reflects the depth of relations between the two countries in the cultural domain.

He congratulated the Omani people and government on the fifth anniversary of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's accession to the throne. (MENA)
