CAIRO, Jan 10 (MENA) – Personal representative of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the G20 and BRICS and Assistant Foreign Minister Ragy el Etreby highlighted the adverse effects of geopolitical developments and accelerating global economic crises on Egypt's development efforts.
These crises have slowed global economic growth, increased commodity and energy prices, and debt burdens on developing countries, including Egypt, Etreby said during his participation, on behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, in a joint seminar organized by the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina under the theme "The Development Model of the Egyptian
During his keynote speech while chairing the seminar’s first session, Etreby highlighted Egypt's efforts, particularly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to tackle these crises through active and constructive economic diplomacy. This includes Egypt's engagement in international and regional interactions to foster economic cooperation and enhance its standing in international forums such as the G20 and BRICS.
Etreby also addressed the ministry's ongoing efforts to attract foreign investments and open new trade markets as a top priority on Egypt's foreign policy agenda. (MENA)
