CAIRO, Dec 18 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted that relations with Indonesia are stable and based on mutual respect.

He noted that the talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto underlined keenness on enhancing bilateral ties in various domains and elevating the level of relations to the level of strategic partnership, especially in the political, economic, trade, military and cultural domains.

During a joint press conference with his Indonesian counterpart after their talks at Ittihadiya Palace, Sisi said Egypt was the first country to recognize Indonesia and establish diplomatic relations in this regard.

President Sisi said the talks with his Indonesian counterpart witnessed an agreement that the high-level joint committee will be under the supervision of the leadership of both countries.

It was also agreed that the two countries will exchange visits to follow up developments and files of mutual concern. (MORE)
