CAIRO, Nov 20 (MENA) - Ambassador Mohamed el-Shenawy assumes his new duties Wednesday as Egypt's presidential spokesman succeeding Ambassador Ahmed Fahmy who was appointed as the Egyptian Ambassador to Hungary.

Shenawy served as Egypt's ambassador to Hungary in the period between 2021 and 2024.

He had previously served as minister plenipotentiary and counselor at the Permanent Mission of Egypt to the United Nations in New York and at the Egyptian Embassy in The Hague. The newly appointed presidential spokesman holds a master’s degree in international law from the University of London. (MENA)
