CAIRO, Sept 27 (MENA) - A home appliances factory, currently under construction by Bosch Egypt in the 10th of Ramadan City, is expected to be the biggest of its kind in Africa, Luis Alvarez, CEO of BSH Egypt, said Wednesday.
The German company plans to make Egypt a central production distribution hub, Alvarez added during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli to discuss the company's activities in Egypt, in the presence of Executive Director of General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab, and the managing director of BSH Egypt.
Madbouli welcomed the company's decision to expand its business in the Egyptian market, asserting the cabinet's commitment to follow up on the project progress from the land allocation process to issuing its a “Golden License”, which shortens all the regulatory requirements in a one-step approval process.
He also stressed his willingness to act forthwith to iron out any barriers that might face the project.
The project 1st phase is dedicated to stove manufacturing at €80 million worth of investments, with an annual production capacity of 400,000 units. (MENA)
