He reiterated Egypt’s rejection of any actions that could compromise Lebanon’s security and sovereignty.
The top diplomat stressed the need for full adherence to the ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon, the immediate and complete withdrawal of Israeli forces, and the empowerment of the Lebanese army to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701 in a comprehensive and non-selective manner.
In his talks with Araghchi, Abdelatty addressed the rapidly evolving situation in the region, emphasizing the urgent need to contain tensions in Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen.
