CAIRO, Feb 11 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty had contacts with several foreign ministers of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran and Jordan, to discuss developments regarding the Palestinian issue.
His communications resulted in an agreement, on principle, to hold a Cairo-hosted emergency ministerial meeting of the OIC following the Emergency Arab Summit scheduled to take place in the Egyptian capital on February 27. The aim of both meetings is to reaffirm the Palestinian, Arab and Islamic positions on the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to self-determination and to live in their homeland and on their own land.
