CAIRO, Nov 28 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will take part as the chief guest during India’s Republic Day celebrations, slated for January 26, 2023, the Foreign Ministry announced.
In a statement released on Monday, the Foreign Ministry noted that Sisi’s participation in the celebrations comes at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This kind invitation reflects mutual appreciation between the two countries’ leaderships and the importance attached by both of them to promoting bilateral relations, the statement said.
Egypt and India are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations this year. (MENA)
