CAIRO, Nov 23 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reviewed on Saturday with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia Celinda Sosa Egypt's efforts to attract foreign investments and the wide-range reforms carried out by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate recently.

This came during Abdelatty’s meeting with Sosa who is here on her first visit to Egypt, marking the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in November 1960.

The ministers co-chaired the fourth round of political consultations between the two nations.

They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand areas of cooperation across various sectors.

They also explored opportunities for collaboration in tourism, energy, renewable energy, agriculture, and information technology.

Moreover, both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening economic and trade relations during the upcoming period.

They also emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between the chambers of commerce and business associations in both countries to elevate economic collaboration.

Furthermore, the talks also included an exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, with a particular focus on the developments in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as ways to de-escalate tensions in the region.

For his part, Abdelatty praised Bolivia's honorable stance in support of the Palestinian cause, highlighting its recognition of the Palestinian state.

He also expressed Egypt's aspiration to expand the international recognition of Palestine, particularly in Latin American countries.

Following the consultations, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Egyptian Diplomatic Studies Institute and the Bolivian Diplomatic Academy. (MENA)
