CAIRO, April 29 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Angolan counterpart João Lourenço underscored the need to deepen economic cooperation and enhance joint investment and trade activities in different domains.
At a joint press conference following their meeting at Ittihadiya presidential palace Tuesday, both leaders called for realizing the goals of sustainable development and sharing experience to serve the interests of Egyptian and Angolan peoples.
“It gives me pleasure to welcome His Excellency President João Lourenço on his esteemed visit to his second home, Egypt, wishing him and his esteemed delegation a pleasant stay and a fruitful visit,” President Sisi said.
“This visit is a testament to the robust historical relations that Egypt and Angola share. These relations date back to the 1960s and have established a solid foundation for a constructive partnership that we highly appreciate. Indeed, we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries next November,” Sisi said. (MORE)
