CAIRO, April 29 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Angolan counterpart João Lourenço witnessed on Tuesday the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between Egypt and Angola.

This came during President Sisi's meeting with President Lourenço at El Ittihadiya palace, where an official reception was held for the Angolan guest and the national anthems of the two countries were played.

In statements, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El Shennawy said the two sides held a closed-door meeting, followed by a plenary session of talks, with delegations from both countries participating.

The two sides probed means to boost bilateral cooperation in the economic, trade, and investment domains.

They also discussed mechanisms to support the African Union's role and enhance continental integration, as well as efforts to maintain peace and security in Africa.

After concluding their meeting and attending the signing ceremony of bilateral agreements and MoUs, the two presidents held a joint press conference. (MENA)
