CAIRO, April 7 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah EL Sisi received Monday French President Emmanuel Macron at the Ittihadiya Palace where he was given an official welcome.
Macron received a 21 gun salute, the national anthems of the two countries were played and the two presidents reviewed the guards of honor.
Sisi and Macron are scheduled to hold a tete a tete session of talks to be followed by an expanded session involving the delegations of the two countries and the signing of a number of agreements and MOUs.
After their summit talks, the two presidents will give a press conference and a trilateral summit, involving Egypt, France and Jordan will follow to discuss regional developments including the situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.(MENA)
