CAIRO, March 22 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi participated in a ceremony for honoring Egyptian women and ideal mothers on Saturday, engaging in a dialogue with attendees about key social issues.
During the discussion, Sisi noted a significant increase in daycare nurseries over the past five years to meet the growing demand. He emphasized that rapid population growth continues to challenge the effectiveness of efforts to improve education and health services.
He stressed the importance of enhancing supervision and specialized management to improve the system of daycare nurseries, to help working mothers to focus on their jobs and support them in balancing between their work and child care responsibilities.
The president also revealed that the government works to convert two classrooms in every public primary schools into nurseries, leveraging the wide geographical spread of these schools across Egypt.
“With over 50,000 schools nationwide, this initiative could create an additional 50,000 to 60,000 daycare facilities. This effort has been ongoing for the past four years,” Sisi stated, expressing hope for new innovative ideas to further expand nurseries availability. (MORE)
