CAIRO, March 8 (MENA) - First Lady Intisar El Sisi had a meeting on Saturday with some honorable examples of Egyptian women on the on the occasion of International Women's Day, marked annually on March 8.

"Today I was honored to meet a group of inspiring Egyptian women, who have set honorable examples in various fields. Each of them reflects the strength of will and giving, and embodies the spirit of Egyptian women who are capable of achieving success and impact," the first lady said in a post on her official account on Facebook.

"I believe that every woman has within her a great energy, and I will always support every woman working towards her dreams to build a brighter future for our country," she added.

International Women's Day (IWD) commemorates women's fight for equality and liberation along with the women's rights movement. It is devoted to celebrating the achievements of women, seeking gender equality, and raising awareness of the issues impacting women all over the world. This year's theme is 'For ALL women and girls: Rights." (MENA)
