CAIRO, Feb 25 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said Tuesday that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had approved the official opening date of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), which is set for July 3.

The premier made the announcement during a meeting with a host of ministers, relevant state officials, and provincial governors, The meeting reviewed ongoing preparations for the grand event.

Highlighting the directives given to various ministries and relevant authorities to ensure effective promotion of recent achievements during the event, Madbouli said the implementation of these directives will be regularly followed up to ensure that the opening ceremony is a world-class success.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Al Saadi, board member of Egypt’s United Media Services (UMS), reviewed the UMS proposed agenda for the grand opening ceremony.

He also discussed the design of the invitations for royalty, presidents, high-ranking officials, and dignitaries, as well as the planned entertainment and cultural segments.

Madbouli also discussed the tasks assigned to each ministry and governorate, logistical requirements, and arrangements to ensure smooth arrivals and departures for guests.

All participants in the meeting pledged to remove any obstacles and provide all necessary facilities for the event organizers.

The premier concluded the meeting by emphasizing the importance of top-tier preparations for the opening ceremony, including airports, hotels, and roads to the event venue. (MENA)
