CAIRO, Feb 25 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli affirmed Egypt's unfaltering support for Sudan and its national institutions, expressing hope that the crisis in Sudan will come to an end in a way that would preserve the country's national state institutions.
During a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan Ali Yousuf Ahmed Al-Sharif at the cabinet premises in the New Administrative Capital on Tuesday, Madbouli also emphasized Egypt's keenness to provide all forms of humanitarian support to Sudanese brethren through the Egyptian Red Crescent.
He said Egyptian companies are ready to contribute to reconstruction efforts in Sudan to speed up post-conflict recovery and improve the living conditions in the sisterly Arab and African nation.
Foreign, Emigration and Expatriates Affairs Minister Badr Abdelatty attended the meeting.
Welcoming Sudanese people living in Egypt, Madbouli hailed the deep rooted ties between both countries.
Meanwhile, the Sudanese official voiced an interest in cooperating with Egyptian construction companies. He noted that an Egyptian company has already been selected to work in the first reconstruction project in Sudan.
Sharif also commended ongoing cooperation between Egypt and Sudan at various levels, highlighting the Sudanese government's efforts to restore security and stability in the country.
During the meeting, the Sudanese ambassador in Cairo revealed that the Sudanese embassy will organize an event in April to thank Egypt for its support. (MENA)
