CAIRO, Feb 24 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema attended the signing ceremony of memoranda of understanding aimed at boosting bilateral cooperation in many domains.
The first MoU was regarding the establishment of a political consultation mechanism between the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Zambia. The document was co-signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and his Zambian counterpart Mulambo Haimbe.
The second MoU was in the agricultural field between the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and the Ministry of Agriculture of Zambia. It was signed on the Egyptian side by Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk and on the Zambian side by minister Haimbe.
Also, an MoU in the field of agricultural quarantine and plant health was inked between the Egyptian and Zambian agriculture ministries.
The two presidents witnessed as well the signing of an MoU on cooperation in aquaculture and fisheries development between the Egyptian agriculture ministry and the Zambian Ministry of Fisheries.
Finally, they witnessed the signing of an MoU between the New Administrative Capital Development Company and the Zambian Ministry of Infrastructure.
