CAIRO, Feb 12 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Jordan’s King Abdullah II reaffirmed their unified stance against the forced displacement of Palestinians.
During a phone call on Wednesday, they called for a full ceasefire in Gaza, the release of captives and detainees, and the smooth entry of humanitarian aid.
The two leaders also stressed the need for immediate reconstruction in Gaza while ensuring Palestinians remain on their land. They condemned Israeli actions in the West Bank and called for an end to these violations.
Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El Shennawy stated that Sisi and King Abdullah discussed the latest developments in Palestine.
They expressed commitment to working with US President Donald Trump to achieve lasting peace based on the June 4, 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian state, in line with UN resolutions.
The two leaders also discussed strengthening Arab coordination ahead of the emergency Arab summit hosted by Egypt on February 27 with the aim of coming up with outcome materializing peoples' aspiration for regional peace and stability. (MENA)
