CAIRO, April 27 (MENA) - The Foreign Ministry mourned on Sunday former Assistant Foreign Minister Hazem Fahmi who died earlier in the day.

Fahmi was an honorable example of a devoted diplomat who dedicated all his life to serving the homeland and defending its interests both at home and abroad.

His diplomatic life was full of notable accomplishments at all positions he served at, the ministry said.

Fahmi had a significant impact in many fields such as development and economic diplomacy as well as multilateral affairs. He also made remarkable contributions at academic and research institutions both at home and abroad over the years.

Abdelatty and all members of the ministry extended their sincere condolences to Fahmi’s family, friends, and colleagues, praying God to bestow mercy upon him and grant patience to his family. (MENA)
