CAIRO, Feb 12 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted Egypt's utmost keenness on boosting joint cooperation with Equatorial Guinea in different fields, particularly in the sectors of infrastructure, energy, health, education, trade and investment.
The move is part of efforts exerted by Egypt to support the development process in African countries, added Abdelatty.
Abdelatty's remarks came at a meeting with Mari-Cruz Evna Andeme, the Secretary of State for International Organizations of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, on the sidelines of meetings of the 46th ordinary session of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU), currently in session in Addis Ababa on Wednesday.
The foreign minister commended relations between Egypt and Equatorial Guinea.
He said Egypt is looking forward to promoting economic and investment cooperation.
The two ministers discussed ways of boosting coordination in the African Union and emphasized the importance of joint cooperation to enhance collective African action.
Andeme hailed Egypt's active role in supporting continental efforts to boost peace and security. (MENA)
