CAIRO, Feb 8 (MENA) - Egypt has strongly condemned, in the strongest terms, the irresponsible and completely unacceptable Israeli statements, which incite against Saudi Arabia and call for the establishment of a Palestinian state on Saudi territory.

Egypt considers these remarks a direct violation of Saudi sovereignty and a blatant breach of international law and the United Nations Charter, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement Saturday.

Egypt fully rejects these reckless statements that threaten the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom, it added.

The statement reaffirmed that Saudi Arabia’s security and sovereignty are a red line that Egypt will not allow to be crossed, emphasizing that Riyadh's stability and national security are integral to the security and stability of Egypt and the Arab world.

The ministry emphasized that the recent remarks made by Israeli officials represent a serious diplomatic violation and an unacceptable infringement on Saudi sovereignty.

These comments also disregard the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state on their entire national territory, which includes the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem, in line with the borders established on June 4, 1967, the statement read.

Egypt reaffirmed its full support for Saudi Arabia against these reckless statements and called on the international community to strongly condemn and denounce them, it concluded. (MENA)
